Classroom Tour

In the Shepherd's Call, the classroom is called the atrium.  This word refers to the area in the earlier church building where new Christians were instructed in preparation to become a part of the church community.  Likewise, the atrium prepares the children to become a vibrant part of the church's work and community.

Materials and furniture are arranged to provide an
uncluttered and open environment.

The openness of the room allows easy access to mateirals and encourages children to work quietly and independently.

Practical life exercises build skills necessary for
working with later materials.  

Children learn to care for their atrium.  This promotes a feeling of ownership and belonging in this special place.
